First Cup of Ubuntu
I used Wubi to install Ubuntu to my D drive. My computer has two partition C & D. Everything was running ok until the installation reached 82% installation. It shows ( Checking the installation, configuring apt, scanning the mirror.) Before I run Wubi, my computer was defrag and Chkdsk /r. I did try reinstall it several times. Anyone can tell me what is wrong with my computer. Thanks.

It might just have hit a slow mirror. Uninstall and reinstall, if it does so again simply unplug the internet connection.

Ah...glad someone post this issue, I installed Ubuntu server 8.04 32 bit, had this problem since an hour ago...until I found this thread
