[SOLVED] Are there free online storage sites based in Europe?

I use ADrive, DivShare & MediaFire for backing up files online.
All of the above are great sites but I would like to know if there are similar free online storage sites based in Europe?

Why should it matter where they are located, its not like you could drive to their office and ask them to put your stuff onto a flash drive. LOL

I want to know because as my upload speed is far slower than my download speed - I presume that it would be faster to backup my data to an online backup site based closer to Ireland.

It might be marginally faster, but in my experience the upload link speed tends to be the controlling factor in uploading over ADSL. Distance from the hosting site will probably only affect latency which is unlikely to be important for backups etc.

Some countries have stricter laws about privacy than others.
