    (K)Upgrade from 14.04 to 16.04 - Desktop setting lost

    Hello,

I sucessfully upgraded my Kubuntu from 14.04 to 16.04 today. When I logged on to my user account all my KDE desktop settings were gone including wireless passwords, shortcuts, widgets, etc.

Any idea how I can get my old settings back?

    Thank you.

I finally put up with the fact that I was unable to recover my old settings. To many aspects inside the KDE framework have changed, so upgrading necessarily break a few things and can't be recovered. Unfortunately that's due to the changes from KDE4 to KDE5.

The new KDE5 looks shiny though and I quite like it.
