  4. [ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu Dualboot Deactivated Windows 7 Anyone Else Experience This ???

You'll need to change the motherboard battery.

If you are not confident opening the machine, the manufacturer can change the battery for you
  5. [ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu Dualboot Deactivated Windows 7 Anyone Else Experience This ???

Could the system have been sold with unlicensed Windows? Cracked by an OEM SLP emulator, in the bootloader, perhaps?

This is the most common way of bypassing Windows 7 activation, but is...

What sort of "more up to date way" are you thinking of? I can't think of any operating systems that have a different uninstallation procedure.

    [ubuntu] Re: Need help

I've just checked the address. It is hosting http://www.parallelchile.cl/, and also a (closed) HTTP proxy.

For abuse from that address, email manuel.orellana@TELEFONICA.COM or call +56 02 7701511....

    [ubuntu] Re: Need help

::ffff:200.91.9.37 is an IPv4 address in IPv6 notation, often given by apps that only support v6.

    Disabling IPv6 will not help.

    [ubuntu] Re: cant update

You don't need a disc to upgrade from one Ubuntu release to another.
    Press Alt+F2, and type
    gksudo update-manager -d

From there, you will be prompted to upgrade.

[ubuntu] Re: how to remove everything kde?

    sudo apt-get autoremove

In future, to avoid this problem, use aptitude rather than apt-get

kansasnoob's solution will not help, as you have installed just one program, not the whole of KDE.
  15. [SOLVED] Re: Does Virgin broadband at 10Mb or 20Mb work with Ubuntu?

Virgin use unauthenticated DHCP (and, even if it was, that would be handled by the router, not your computer).
Therefore, Computer->Router->Modem and Computer->Modem will work with no configuration....
